Director of LG Mobile France Cathy Robin says the demand for Nexus 4 were much larger than the estimates made before, explaining why there were many frustrated customers ranting on online forums. The device was offered in Google Play website, which immediately went out of stock after being offered for sale, leading to Google UK manager blaming LG for supply shortages.
Therefore LG is reacting to that, saying that Google provided them with sales predictions, according to which LG manufactured and supplied devices. The company is going to increase the shipments of devices in the coming months, while saying they supplying all the preorders made from Google Play website already. However, increasing shipments would take at least 6 weeks delay due to manufacturing and distribution technicalities. If you are going for a Nexus 4 reference phone and couldnt find it still, you may have to wait a little while longer to get it.
